Big brother: celebrity Hijack

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Twenty Five Update 27.01.08

When you can watch ...

The Big Brother show (including all evictions)

will be broadcast each evening at 21.00 on E4.

Big Brother’s Little Brother  will be screened each weekday on E4 at 19.30 and on Sundays at 19.00.

Big Brother’s Big Mouth

opens once again at 22.00 from Monday to Thursday and at 22.30 on Fridays.

In addition, Diary Room Uncut will be shown each Saturday at 22.00.

The penultimate day of Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack saw a vast array of hijackers assume control of the house and, therefore, the remaining six contestants.

Starting off day twenty five (Sunday, 27th January) with Big Brother’s Little Brother competition winner ‘JJ’ in the hijack booth, the lucky E4 viewer was followed by Big Brother’s very own Dermot O’Leary who, of course, is heading for pastures new after the current series concludes on Monday evening.

While JJ made a handful of the housemates dress and act like famous celebrities (including Elton John, Madonna and Victoria Beckham), when Dermot grabbed the reins he pulled a few pranks to make the housemates think there would be a surprise eviction tonight!

Bidding a fond farewell to the hijacker’s seat this afternoon, Dermot’s place was later taken by not one, but three celebrities – namely Amelle, Heidi and Keisha from popular girl-group Sugababes.

Entering the house via the Diary Room, the trio performed one of their songs for the housemates and then chatted with the Celebrity Hijack finalists into the evening.

Away from the hijackers, the relationship between Jeremy, Emilia (Circus Performer) and Amy (Conceptual Artist) continued to keep viewers on the edge of their seats as the public continues to wait and see what – if anything – will transpire before tomorrow night’s grand finale.

While you can watch Jeremy’s last 24 hours or so in the Big Brother house via the red button option on E4 and also online at the official website, don’t forget the series finale will be screened live on E4 at 21.00 tomorrow.

Can Jeremy claim the title of 2008 Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Winner and the £50,000 top prize? There isn’t long to wait before we all know the answer.

To vote for Jeremy to WIN please call 09011 212207.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Twenty Four Update 26.01.08

Former Big Brother winner Kate Lawler, who has since gone on to carve out a career in TV and radio presenting, became Celebrity Hijacker on day twenty four (Saturday, 26th January).

Like earlier show hijacker John McCririck, Kate obviously knows full well what life is like for the incarcerated housemates and so she decided to set a task which would see members of the group paired off, each half of the respective duos then having to dress and act like the other for the afternoon.

Jeremy was paired with Anthony (Boxer) and with the efforts of everyone deemed to be satisfactory by Kate, they won the task to secure a takeaway curry and a Hip-Hop party for their final Saturday night in the BB house. As an added bonus, Kate joined the housemates prior to leaving herself.

Following Friday night’s double eviction of Calista (Classical Musician) and Jay (Fashion Designer), Calista was asked to select a surprise for the remaining housemates courtesy of the famous ‘Purple Ninja’ who has appeared in the BB house several times this series.

However, it transpired there was no real choice as the options were limited to custard pies and custard pies!

On entering the house, the ninja approached Anthony who dodged out of the way. Jeremy proceeded to wrestle with the ninja and, for his trouble, ended up covered in the aforementioned comedy pies…it was a like a throwback to the days of Tiswas!

Remember, you can now vote for who you want to WIN the show so to log your support for Jeremy ahead of Monday’s finale please call 09011 212207.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Twenty Three Update 25.01.08

Jeremy has made it through to the Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack final on Monday! With voting now changing from who you want to evict to who you want to WIN, dial 09011 212207 to give Jeremy the best possible chance of victory in the series finale.

Tonight’s (Friday, 25th January) day twenty three eviction saw Jeremy survive his third nomination but Calista (Classical Musician) and Jay (Fashion Designer) weren’t so fortunate, polling 25% and 30% of the public vote respectively.

The housemates were coaxed out of their slumber this morning to the strains of ‘Anarchy in the UK’ over the speaker system. It soon became apparent there was a very good reason for this rude awakening…legendary Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren had taken over the Celebrity Hijacker hotseat.

Making the housemates take part in a variety of weird (some very weird) and wonderful tasks, Malcolm certainly made an impression. To begin, everyone, except for John (Politician) and Amy (Conceptual Artist) agreed to strip down to their smalls and be covered in paint in the name of modern art.

Task two proved to be far more serene, Malcolm engaging the group in the art of wine tasting. The third and final task saw the collective strumming along to the ‘Guitar Hero’ video game…Jeremy proving particularly adept.

During breakfast earlier today, the prank of chilies in the jam – as voted for by visitors to the official Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack website – was rumbled immediately so had zero impact!

The big news of the day though is, of course, the fact Jeremy is another step closer to achieving his goal of winning the latest incarnation of Big Brother and to also walk away with the £50,000 top prize.

Remember, you can now vote for who you want to WIN the show so to log your support for Jeremy ahead of Monday’s finale please call 09011 212207.

Calls cost 25p from a BT landline, mobile and other network rates may be higher. At least 10p from each call will be split equally between Epilepsy Bereaved and Kids Company.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Twenty Two Update 24.01.08

Tomorrow evening (Friday, 25th January) will see the next evictions from the Big Brother house and Jeremy is one of six, yes six, housemates to be nominated.

Having no sooner waved goodbye to Latoya (Dancer) as she left the house yesterday (Wednesday), the group received a major shock when it was almost instantly revealed they would have to nominate again within the hour.

Big Brother added a sharp, stinging twist though…all housemates had to make their selections and name them out loud face-to-face!

Day twenty two (Thursday, 24th January) saw comedian and TV presenter Jimmy Carr become the latest Celebrity Hijacker and he certainly had some bizarre tasks up his sleeve for the eight remaining housemates.

First, each member of the group was given a ‘Flavor-Flav’ style clock which they had to wear around their necks. Each then had to announce the correct time and their intended actions in a Geordie accent to mimic the regular BB voice-over man Marcus Bentley.

Jimmy’s next task took a personal turn with each housemate made to ‘rate their mates’, first individually and then as a collective. Rating everyone on looks, intelligence and talent, it truly was a task to make them all squirm.

Each housemate also had to dress up in animal costume for the ‘Mates Rates’ game, Jeremy charmingly dolled-up in a furry cow outfit! At least it inspired Jimmy to comment “Can I say Jeremy, your udders look amazing”!

Passing the task, the housemates won breakfast…but don’t forget it will come with a wicked prank. The public who have been visiting the official Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack website over the last couple of days have voted to make sure Friday morning’s jam is filled with chilies! How tasty.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Twenty One Update 23.01.08

Wednesday night (23rd January) in the Big Brother house meant eviction time for tearful Latoya (Dancer) who logged 56% of the public vote.

But no sooner had Latoya left the house than a further shockwave spread throughout. The news was delivered to the remaining housemates they would be expected to nominate once more...at 23.30 tonight!

As if this wasn't a big enough surprise, a further twist and sting in the tail came with the fact each member of the group will have to nominate face-to-face! Ouch!

The cat will very much be among the pigeons now.

Legendary American comedienne Roseanne Barr assumed control of the house as the latest Celebrity Hijacker today and her task for the housemates was for everyone to perform a stand-up comedy routine.

Jeremy was given the role of compere for the ‘Big Brother Comedy Club’ show and in the end Roseanne decided the housemates should receive a luxury food menu and the treat of watching some TV and movies as reward for their efforts…even though she wasn’t all that impressed with the housemates’ humour.

Away from the fun and frivolity, Jeremy seems to have yet another string to his bow where the ladies of the house are concerned. Declared a ‘master masseuse’ by Calista (Classical Musician), Amy (Conceptual Artist) and Emilia, it appears he could develop a nice little sideline operation when he isn’t out on track racing!

Visitors to the official Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack website are currently being invited to vote for a breakfast surprise which will be served up to the remaining housemates on Friday (25th January) morning.

None of the surprises being put forward are exactly things the group will enjoy but to find out more please visit www.channel4.com/bigbrother

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Twenty Update 22.01.08

On day twenty (Tuesday, 22nd January) in the Big Brother house, Nicole Appleton and Melanie Blatt of the recently reformed girl-group All Saints took control of the Celebrity Hijack booth.

Jeremy started his day by making breakfast for Emilia (Circus Performer) and then going on to partake in a bit of exercise on the treadmill…all usual stuff really. Then, in the afternoon at Jeremy’s request, Amy (Conceptual Artist) gave him a haircut…all bets are off over whether she should pursue a career in a salon!

After being greeted with a great fanfare from the housemates, the All Saints girls explained how they would be holding a special quiz throughout the afternoon entitled ‘The Brain of Big Brother’.

Much like a ‘Mastermind’ style format, each housemate had a specialist subject based on their talent and a ‘specialist interest’ group of questions. So, for Jeremy, this meant motorsport and Australian soap opera ‘Neighbours’!

Early this evening, Nicole and Melanie actually entered the BB house to share champagne and conversation with the group. However, the real Big Brother soon put paid to their hopes of a lengthy stay when they were recalled to the Diary Room.

Clearly, Big Brother has seen enough of hijackers mingling with show contestants.

Talk of there being a ‘mole’ in the house refused to go away either today…John (Politician) continuing to make many of the housemates very suspicious.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Nineteen Update 21.01.08

Nominations for Wednesday night’s eviction are in…and Jeremy is safe!

Day nineteen (Monday, 21st January) in the Big Brother house saw the group’s nominations aired to the world, both Emilia (Circus Performer) and Latoya (Dancer) receiving four votes each and facing eviction during the midweek live show on E4.

With Emilia being one of Jeremy’s closest friends in the house, how will he react if she is forced to leave and follow in the footsteps of her brother Victor through the BB doors?

Today’s Celebrity Hijacker was Mackenzie Crook, the comedian and actor best known for his role as ‘geeky’ Gareth in the smash BBC show ‘The Office’. In-keeping with his most famous character, Mackenzie’s aim was to bring some suitably geeky activities into the BB house.

Having won numerous karting championships home and abroad and with a vast array of trophies from his single-seater motor racing career, Jeremy enjoys success but he may not have necessarily wanted to be crowned Mackenzie’s best ‘Nerd of the Day’!

Dressed as a Star Trek fan, with Dr Spock ears and all, Jeremy won the task and scooped some quality prizes – namely a ball made of rubber bands and a survival book, both once possessions of Mackenzie’s ‘Gareth’ alter-ego!

Earlier in the day, Jeremy and John (Politician) had an exchange of views regarding money and materialism.

John was also placed under the microscope by a number of housemates, led by Amy (Conceptual Artist), Emilia and Jeremy, who are getting ever more suspicious he could actually be a ‘mole’ in the Big Brother house…could it be so?

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Eighteen Update 20.01.08

Just two days after the latest evictions from the Big Brother house, day eighteen (Sunday, 20th January) brought with it the news all housemates would need to nominate again for the next eviction which is expected on Wednesday night.

Jeremy spent the small hours displaying his sensitive side to Emilia (Circus Performer) who has been particularly down following the eviction of her brother Victor on Friday night.

It has to be said though, he was pretty close to Amy (Conceptual Artist) too as the whole love triangle continues without any real clue as to what may happen…if anything.

Into the Celebrity Hijacker seat today came Mat Thorne and James Cordon from E4’s Big Brother’s Big Mouth show. Well, they didn’t actually head into the hijack booth as the pair decided instead to spend the entire day inside the house with the nine remaining contestants.

The Diary Room was off limits. Instead, Mat and James mingled with the housemates – having already prepared a splendid Sunday morning breakfast for them all – and then took each member of the group aside into a special room where they tried to get each housemate to feel as happy and joyful as possible.

There was also another purpose. With Mat and James having provided the somewhat barbed voiceover recordings for when the previous housemates have been evicted, the pairing wanted to atone for the way they may have been perceived by the group inside the BB house.

It seemed the hijackers weren’t actually going to set a task today but unbeknown to the housemates, the idea was to make the whole group agree to a voluntary ‘group hug’ before Mat and James left the house.

Although it seemed uncertain for a while, the housemates did all agree to take part and so the task was completed.

Shortly after the departure of the Big Mouth duo though, Big Brother announced each housemate would be invited into the re-opened Diary Room one-by-one to reveal their nominations for the third eviction which will take place on Wednesday (23rd January).

Will Jeremy be in the firing line for a third time or will the motor racing star manage to avoid nomination altogether? We certainly hope it’s the latter.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Seventeen Update 19.01.08

After seeing his best mate from the Big Brother house evicted on Friday night, Jeremy didn’t start day seventeen (Saturday, 19th January) full of the joys of spring…then again it is still winter.

The housemates were awoken this morning to the sound of the Cyndi Lauper anthem ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’ and it later emerged the Celebrity Hijackers for the day would be the three McQueen sisters from Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.

“Jeremy’s out of his depression!”, declared the race ace on hearing the news regarding the trio of young actresses. He was then boosted further after being hand-picked, along with Anthony (Boxer) and Nathan (Singer) to battle it out for a ‘date’ with the girls.

Jeremy was actually the first ‘romeo’ selected by the hijackers and the three lads then had to chose two housemates to act as advisors, Jeremy picking Amy (Conceptual Artist) and Emilia (Circus Performer).

After being given a selection of clothes to choose from for the ‘speed-dating’ task, Jeremy and his advisors went for something that was certainly interesting – a shirt that wouldn’t look out of place on Magnum PI more than qualifying Jeremy’s first class sense of humour.

Although described as “gorgeous, charming and a gentleman” by the hijacker girls, Jeremy wasn’t in luck and unfortunately joined Nathan in losing the task to Anthony.

This evening, the housemates enjoyed a special Brazilian themed party thanks to votes cast by visitors to the official www.channel4.com/bigbrother website. Changing costumes more times than Mr. Ben today, Jeremy adopted a very tasty yellow, red and green number which looked like it came direct from downtown Rio de Janeiro.

With news the next eviction will take place on Wednesday with another to follow at the end of next week and more on the final night on Monday, 28th January, it’s still far from clear who will walk away from the inaugural Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack with the top prize of £50,000.

Supporters and followers of Jeremy Metcalfe can visit the official programme website www.channel4.com/bigbrother to catch-up with all the latest news and up-to-the-minute video from the Big Brother house.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Sixteen Update 18.01.08

Day sixteen’s double-eviction took place earlier tonight (Friday, 18th January) with Jeremy thankfully surviving nomination for the second time in as many weeks. Both Liam (Entrepreneur) and Victor (Circus Performer), the latter Jeremy’s best friend in the house, were evicted with 44% and 32% of the public vote respectively.

Delighted to remain on BB for its final week, Jeremy was, quite literally, out of the frying pan and into the fire as the housemates joined-in with Channel 4’s simulcast of Gordon Ramsey’s live ‘Cookalong’ show.

The programme saw the world-famous Michelin-starred chef prepare and cook a three-course meal in live time and the remaining housemates, split into groups of three, would attempt to follow Ramsey’s every move. One trio tackled the starter, one group was in charge of the main course and the other had responsibility for dessert.

Jeremy teamed up with Nathan (Singer) and Anthony (Boxer) to prepare the starter of pan roasted scallops with tomato and herb salsa. Don’t forget either, this was the same trio which impressed ‘Little Britain’s’ Matt Lucas on day two when they showed stellar cake-baking skills!

Day sixteen’s Celebrity Hijacker was Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills and he created a fake art-based task to mask the real one which saw Jay (Fashion Designer) made the butt of all jokes and also the centre of a lot of annoyance from his fellow housemates.

Scott decided Jeremy had been the best prankster throughout the task and with Jay having been a good sport the pair received a treat of a luxury Chinese meal in the confines of the Diary Room.

In other news today, visitors to the official www.channel4.com/bigbrother website voted by 43% to give the housemates a special ‘Brazilian’ themed part on Saturday night.

With 10 days remaining until the Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack final a week on Monday, 28th January, anything could happen in the house so please continue to check back for all the latest developments regarding Jeremy.

Supporters and followers of Jeremy Metcalfe can also visit the official programme website www.channel4.com/bigbrother to catch-up with all the latest news and up-to-the-minute video from the Big Brother house.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Fifteen Update 17.01.08

West-End star, actress, TV and radio presenter and all-round glamour puss Denise Van Outen took control of the Celebrity Hijacker booth on day fifteen (Thursday, 17th January) and tried to inject a bit of song and dance into the Big Brother house.

First though, to late last night (Wednesday) when the housemates were set a second task by the day’s hijacker, comedian Leigh Francis, as he adopted perhaps his most famous persona, ‘Craiiiig David’.

With every housemate dressed identically with ‘Craiiiig David’ mask and costume, the group had to sing the ‘Soda Pop’ song but the performance of the collective wasn’t deemed to be good enough by Francis…sorry, the original Craiiiig David!

With Jeremy and Emilia as close as ever during the night, the housemates awoke this morning to find no food in the kitchen. It wasn’t due to the failed task though.

All housemates were being punished for Anthony’s (Boxer) indiscretions as he continued to flout the rules of the house by drawing on walls and other such activities.

This afternoon, Denise decided to put the housemates through their paces with song and dance routines befitting a popular stage show. Calista (Classical Musician) and John (Politician) were deemed Denise’s favourite performers and they won a luxury food and drink hamper. The pair then duly shared their prize with everyone else.

Tomorrow (Friday, 18th January) could be judgment day for Jeremy as he waits to find out if he will be evicted along with another housemate. Remember, this week there will be a double-eviction so we can only hope any combination of Liam (Entrepreneur), Victor or Emilia (Circus Performers) fills the two spots.

For details of how to evict Liam, Victor or Emilia, please visit the official BB website at www.channel4.com/bigbrother and help us ensure Jeremy remains in the house into the final week.

Supporters and followers of Jeremy Metcalfe can also visit the official programme website to catch-up with all the latest news, developments and up-to-the-minute video from the Big Brother house.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Fourteen Update 16.01.08

It certainly wasn’t unexpected but still came as a shock this afternoon, day fourteen (Wednesday, 16th January), when it was revealed Friday night’s eviction will actually see two of the nominated quartet of housemates leave Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack.

Unbelievably, of course, Jeremy is in the firing line so we can only hope the British public sees sense and votes to evict two of the other nominees, Liam (Entrepreneur), Victor or Emilia (Circus Performers).

Today’s hijacker was Keith Lemon, alter ego of Channel 4’s own Leigh Francis (Bo’ Selecta! and Avid Merrion). With the ‘Lemon’ character based on a ‘successful’ 1990s businessman, it was no surprise today’s task would centre on entrepreneurialism.

In a style not dissimilar to BBC2’s Dragon’s Den show, the housemates had to pitch business ideas to Keith Lemon. Jeremy, Victor and Emilia came up with concept of a seat for those who shudder at the notion of actually getting out of a chair and doing something.

“Have you ever felt tired of getting off your derriere? Then you need a walking chair”, pitched Jeremy…surely we should patent that idea now!?!

Unfortunately, Keith decided the winning pitch came from Amy, Latoya and Anthony but the prize of an ageing Ford Escort wasn’t quite the stuff of dreams. Keith’s friend Martin entered the house to congratulate the winners and everyone was then told he would be staying in the BB house until the end of the week!

In other news, the house experienced its first major argument of the series late on Tuesday night when Latoya and Jay started a ‘fake’ bust-up as a practical joke. It had disastrous consequences though when the joke went awry and almost all of the housemates became embroiled in a huge argument.

With just two full days to cast votes over which two housemates should be evicted on Friday night, please visit www.channel4.com/bigbrother for details of how to ensure Jeremy remains on BB.

Supporters and followers of Jeremy Metcalfe can also visit the official programme website to catch-up with all the latest news, developments and up-to-the-minute video from the Big Brother house.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Thirteen Update 15.01.08

It has been revealed Jeremy will join Liam (Entrepreneur) and Victor and Emilia (Circus Performers) as a nominee for eviction this week after a somewhat bizarre day thirteen (Tuesday, 15th January) controlled by the iconic American comedienne Joan Rivers.

With Victor having already been nominated by Anthony (Boxer) following the latter’s SAS task on Saturday, Jeremy, Emilia and Liam were put forward today by Celebrity Hijacker Joan.

In what seemed to be a veiled compliment for the young motor racing star Joan said to Jeremy, “Remember me as the person who gave you one last knock before your career took off”.

When Joan announced to the house she was in the hotseat earlier in the day, the group was told to think of her as “Anne Robinson with liver spots”!

Shortly after 16.00 this afternoon, the housemates were all startled when told to get changed into their eviction outfits…it certainly seemed a given somebody would be leaving the house soon after.

Joan set a ‘red carpet’ task in which the housemates would have to make their way down the carpeted walkway one-by-one, strutting their stuff to impress the famous hijacker.

The tension in the house reached boiling point when the housemates were told one-by-one to sit down, everyone fully expecting the worst performer in Joan’s eyes to bid farewell to BB.

It was all a hoax though, well, for a few minutes at least. Joan soon announced she would be selecting three housemates to stand alongside Victor in the firing line ahead of this week’s public vote.

Poor Jeremy must be wondering what he has to do to avoid these situations…please check back tomorrow where we’ll give details of how to try and ensure he retains his rightful place in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Twelve Update 14.01.08

It doesn’t get much deeper than debating the meaning of life at 02.00 in the morning but that’s exactly what Jeremy and the other Big Brother housemates were doing early on day twelve (Monday, 14th January).

Famed art critic Brian Sewell took over the role of Celebrity Hijacker on day twelve and he certainly wasted little time in unleashing a stinging attack on the housemates as a whole and the state of the BB house.

Not to be defeated, the group tidied up and then heard the task for the day would be to prepare and cook a fabulous four-course meal. However, a caveat would later be added by Brian in the form that all housemates had to cross-dress!

During the afternoon, Jeremy almost fell asleep while listening to a lengthy art talk from Amy (Conceptual Artist) – the pair, along with Emilia (Circus Performer) still providing much of the gossip on BB as talk of a love-triangle refuses to go away.

Earlier this evening, Jeremy fully immersed himself in the cooking task although his jaw did, quite literally, hit the floor when he noticed the mushroom sauce cost £23! He knows the value of money does our Jeremy.

The motor racing star also received a welcome boost during Monday night’s live edition of Big Brother’s Little Brother on E4 when Dermot O’Leary’s guest, television personality and presenter Sarah Cawood, revealed how likeable she thought Jeremy was with a terrific dry sense of humour.

As far as Sarah is concerned, she thinks Jeremy has what it takes to emerge as the winner of the first ever Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Eleven Update 13.01.08

“The only thing to do in the house is eat”, lamented Jeremy during the early hours of day eleven (Sunday, 13th January) as he and Amy (Conceptual Artist) began to cook.

After sharing their meal for two with John (Politician), Jeremy then declared himself Nathan’s biggest fan as the singer belted out a rendition of his latest song.

At around 09.30, the housemates were awoken to the sound of Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles who, it was later revealed, was the latest celebrity to hijack the Big Brother hotseat.

His first move was to have snow put into the garden at the BB house although Jeremy considered it to look more like ‘slush’. Such forthright views didn’t go down well with Moyles and the self-proclaimed ‘saviour of Radio 1’ dished out a harsh punishment to the Hampshire motor racing ace.

Demanding Jeremy become a ‘snow angel’, he was forced to go into the garden in nothing other than boxer shorts and lay on the freezing cold snow!

As you’d expect from the Radio 1 DJ, his hijacking revolved around a pub theme and the house was kitted out with its own bar and dart board – the latter proving highly popular with Jeremy although that’s not particularly surprising considering one of his sporting heroes is multiple World Darts Champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor.

Numerous games of darts later, Sunday night in the BB house became Pub Quiz time with Jeremy joining Amy, Nathan, Victor (Circus Performer) and Jay (Fashion Designer) in a contest against the remaining housemates and Moyles’ ‘Celebrity team’.

It soon transpired the celebrities were actually all one person, impressionist Jon Culshaw. In the end, Moyles won a tie-break and so the housemates have nothing but basic rations for Monday’s meals. However, for guessing Jon Culshaw was behind the famous voices, the housemates did win some pizza.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Ten Update 12.01.08

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack became exactly that at 07.15 this morning (Saturday, 12th January) when legendary ex-SAS member Andy McNab stormed the house throwing the housemates’ Saturday slumber into complete chaos.

Entering the house via the gym room, McNab and his men – all decked out in dark clothing and balaclavas - made the housemates remain on their beds with their hands behind their heads.

Shortly after, Amy (Conceptual Artist) and Anthony (Boxer) were both taken out of the house to separate locations where they were to be interrogated as McNab and his crew tried to obtain code words from both housemates which were given to them earlier in the week. While Anthony cracked under the pressure, Amy stood firm.

This evening, Jeremy read out a message from Big Brother which invited all of the housemates to put a question forward for recently departed Jade (Beauty Queen) who was evicted from the house following a public vote on Friday night.

Between now and Sunday evening, the group has to think of a question they’d like to put to Jade and she will then be asked the questions on Sunday night’s edition of Big Brother’s Little Brother, hosted by Dermot O’Leary.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Nine Update 11.01.08

Jeremy quite rightly avoided eviction from the Big Brother house tonight (Friday, 11th January) on day nine of the contest – Jade (Beauty Queen) becoming the first evictee after polling 51.2% of the public vote.

Sprucing himself up in suit, shirt and tie in readiness for this evening’s live eviction show on E4, Jeremy needn’t have looked so concerned as the British public decided both he and Victor (Circus Performer) should remain on Celebrity Hijack.

During the early hours of the morning, Jeremy entered the Diary Room to ask for Camomile Tea (!) before getting engrossed in a lengthy conversation of several hours duration with Emilia (Circus Performer).

After discussing a variety of topics, and also tidying up the house during the small hours, he then flagged-up the idea of the potential for there to be a “mole” placed in the BB house…who knows if that could be true?

The housemates were asked a couple of days ago who would like to volunteer to take part in a forthcoming SAS task. Today, every one of the group agreed to get involved.

Day Nine Celebrity Hijackers Peaches Geldof and Fifi Brown set the housemates a ‘Battle of the Bands’ style task which saw Jeremy form part of an Emo rock group as the lead guitarist. His team won the task ahead of rivals Nu-Ravers.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Eight Update 10.01.08

From racing driver to chat show king…day eight (Thursday, 10th January) of Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack saw Jeremy tasked with the job of presenting his very own chat show alongside fellow housemate, and eviction nominee, Jade (Beauty Queen).

The television theme for today’s tasks came courtesy of new Hijacker Janet Street-Porter, the producer, writer and broadcaster instantly making her presence felt with some typically forthright comments and views of the housemates.

After being called into the Diary Room to find out about the task which awaited them, Jeremy and Jade were soon fronting their own ‘Jez & Jade’ show where they interviewed Janet; the latest celebrity to fill the famous Big Brother role certainly not giving the duo an easy ride.

Earlier in the day, Jeremy’s closeness to Emilia (Circus Performer) took a step forward when she revealed she had told Big Brother in the Diary Room she would miss him if he gets voted out of the house on Friday.

Tomorrow will actually see not one, but two Hijackers taking over control of the BB house – DJ duo Peaches Geldof and Fifi Brown. Who knows what they will have in store for Jeremy and the rest of the housemates on what could potentially, but hopefully will not, be his last day on the programme.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Seven Update 09.01.08

Former Celebrity Big Brother housemate and Channel 4 Horse Racing pundit John McCririck took over the reins of the Hijacker’s hotseat on day seven (Wednesday, 9th January).

Knowing full-well what the housemates are going through as a past contestant himself, John set the group a ‘Tic-Tac’ challenge where they had to learn the hand signals which are used daily by bookies at horse racing venues to convey odds and betting prices…and the housemates passed the task.

Earlier in the day, Jeremy led the rest of the group in tidying the house which has been in quite a state over the last few days. “All the cameras are looking at the mess”, he said as he donned his washing up gloves.

Surely still in shock having been nominated for eviction on Tuesday, Jeremy has to wait until Friday night’s live eviction show at 21.00 on E4 to discover if he will be staying on in the Big Brother house or leaving for home…please not the latter!

In other news, Jeremy’s sister Becky appeared as one of Dermot O’Leary’s guests on this evening’s edition of Big Brother’s Little Brother where she explained to the audience about her sibling’s talent and how sponsorship is key to a racing driver achieving a successful career.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Six Update 08.01.08

Complete shock!

That’s the only way to describe the developments in the Big Brother house on day six (Tuesday, 8th January) as Jeremy was one of three housemates nominated for the first eviction which will take place on Friday.

Joined by Jade (Beauty Queen) and Victor (Circus Performer), Jeremy was unbelievably and very unexpectedly nominated – a total surprise considering he has been getting on famously with a number of his fellow housemates and has been one of the most entertaining contestants on the show.

The Celebrity Hijacker on day six was former host of Big Brother’s Big Mouth, Russell Brand, the comedian immediately making his mark with some bizarre instructions for several housemates, including Jeremy.

The strangest twist, however, came just after 5pm when an ‘intruder’ burst into the house. Looking on with bewilderment etched on their faces, the housemates witnessed a supposedly disgruntled cameraman breaking into the living area.

After a short while, Celebrity Hijacker Russell entered the house with a pair of security guards which made the whole situation seem completely real to the housemates. It was later revealed, though, the break-in was one of Russell’s little tricks.

Of course, there is no way Jeremy should be leaving the house, so head over to the official Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack website now to find out how to evict either Jade or Victor and make sure the Hampshire motor racing ace remains in BB!

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Five Update 07.01.08

Day five (Monday, 7th January) in the Big Brother house saw the housemates make their first nominations following the arrival of the latest Celebrity Hijacker – Kelly Osbourne.

Jeremy spent most of the daytime raising eyebrows and making headlines among the watching media by getting ever closer and cosier with Emilia (Circus Performer).

Along with Kelly’s arrival as the new Celebrity came news of the first nominations in the house, each housemate called into the Diary Room to make their selections.

Early in the evening, Kelly then decided the group could have a party. Not just any old party though, one “befitting an Osbourne”. This, of course, meant a goth and metal themed bash with the housemates made to dress up in suitable attire.

Kelly then set a task which held a prize of a luxury budget and after deciding the housemates’ head-banging antics were suitably ‘metal’ enough the revellers won the challenge.

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Four Update 06.01.08

After two fantastically entertaining days in the Big Brother house, day four (Sunday, 6th January) saw Scottish actor Alan Cumming take over control.

Unsurprisingly, Alan’s task involved acting and after all the housemates were given a particular role to play, they then had to improvise a 15 minute group performance which the new Celebrity Hijacker would pass judgment on.

Jeremy was the first called into the Diary Room and he was to play ‘farmer’s boy’ Norman. When he emerged back into the living area in character, Jeremy was told by Jay (Fashion Designer) his acting skills were “surprisingly good” – a great boost considering he really wasn’t looking forward to the task.

Unfortunately for the housemates, Alan decided the play didn’t satisfy his high standards and so they lost the task. This means rather than enjoying a luxury Sunday evening meal, they have basic rations of chick peas, rice and water!

On E4’s Big Brother’s Little Brother programme this evening (Sunday, 6th January), Dermot O’Leary asked his guests, which included actress Wendy Richard, who could win the show outright. The resounding answer was that Jeremy is the ‘dark horse’ for victory!

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Three Update 05.01.08

With footballing legend Ian Wright taking over from Matt Lucas in the Big Brother hotseat, the housemates were to be set...surprise, surprise...a football challenge for Day Three (Saturday, 5th January).

First though, Ian decided to pair the housemates off for the first part of a double-headed task. One housemate had to wear headphones which emitted white noise while the other half of the pairing had to mime noises which they were hearing in their own headphones.

Jeremy was paired with Victor (Circus Performer) and they worked well, Jeremy guessing several mimes in rapid fashion. For part two of the challenge, the housemates would be taking penalty kicks at a goal set-up in the garden. Split into teams, Jeremy joined Latoya (Dancer), John (Politician), Victor, Jay (Fashion Designer) and Emilia (Circus Performer).

Although taking penalty kicks wouldn't normally be overly challenging, in this task each housemate had to wear goggles which severely restricted their vision. Jeremy's team won the task and so enjoyed a whole host of tasty goodies. In news away from the Big Brother house, Jeremy's arrival during Thursday night's launch was witnessed on Channel 4 by an incredible 3.5 million people!

Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack Day Two Update 04.01.08

Following on from his arrival in the famous Big Brother house on Thursday evening, Jeremy took part in his first task this afternoon (Friday, 4th January).

After being voted by fellow housemates as the trio which had bonded most during the opening day, Jeremy, Nathan (Singer/Songwriter) and Anthony (Boxer) were first ordered by Celebrity Big Brother Matt Lucas to remain linked by their arms!

Matt then set a team-building task for the three housemates – to make and bake a cherry cake for him! With Nathan on the left and only allowed to use his left hand, Anthony on the right – you guessed it, only able to use his right hand – and Jeremy the ‘brains’ in the middle they set about following Matt’s instructions…

The lads won the task when Big Brother Matt appeared on the TV screen and declared the cake to be a tasty creation.
